Germs, Germs, My Invisible Dog

I don't know about you, but that's a song that I learned in Kindergarten...loved that song!!! Anyway that has nothing really to do with my post tonight, except I have the sickie germs!!!!! I am misreable, losing my voice, runny nose, that's after the stuffed head, and sore throat and cough...I have a really bad sinus infection! So I haven't really been writing alot, and just this week I've been gloomy so I just haven't felt like socializing!

The Morning After

That's my mom and my Uncle Kenny in the picture above! My mom as well as all 8 of her brother's and sisters were very happy that he made it in in time for the funeral!!!

The funeral is something else I really feel compelled to write about from the eulogy that his son gave to the twenty-one gun salute, but I will have to save that for later, I am truly wiped right now and I have to be heading to work soon. So I thought I'd just share a few pictures from the dinner we had after the funeral.

Uncle Sonny

Today is a really sad day in our family....today is the day of my Uncle Sonny's funeral. I still just can't believe it. I didn't see my Uncle Sonny alot, but our families were still always close, and I was born on his birthday. My mom comes from a very large family, she had 11 brother/sisters living, and 4 siblings that died in infancy. This is the first death of a sibling since then and it's hitting them all really hard, couple that with the fact that it was everyone's big brother, and it was all so sudden and nobody got to say goodbye.

The picture above is my Uncle Sonny, that smile, that was him....that's what I remember the most even from a very early age is my Uncle Sonny's huge smile....and I can't forget his tobacco pipe and how he loved to fish.

I think it's also hitting all the cousins really hard too, I know another cousin of mine in particular...it's made us realize our parents aren't invincible and this is the start of something we all don't want to go through, burying our parents, our Aunts and Uncles....and it makes it hard to because alot has gone on in my family lately, both my parents have had surgery, one of my mom's sisters had a hip replacement and got really sick, two other's had back surgery, a few months back my Uncle Hank fell of a piece of machinery and got seriously injured....I think it's just put things in perspective for us. It's sorta cute at the funeral home you just see us all hovering over our parents to make sure they are okay...my how the roles change. I think it's bringing us all even closer together, this is the first death on my mom's side of the family since I was 4 when my Granny Gunn died.

Since my mom comes from such a large family my Uncle Sonny was the oldest at 71....and they run down to 51....

I know I'm all across the board on this blog, and I'm not doing any editing, I just needed to get some things out this morning before the funeral, some feeling I'm having.

Won't be blogging

For a little bit, my Uncle passed away very unexpectedly yesterday from a massive heart attack, and I will be traveling with my parents all weekend to be with my mom's family.

The "S" Word and Princess PixieTude

This little piece of perfection who I have so dubbed Princess PixieTude, just waltzes into the room in an uproar "Bebe said I said the "S" word and I didn't!", so portraying my mom-ness I said well if you didn't say the "S" word then don't worry about it.(haha, those who know me well know I curse like a sailor and if one of my kids said a bad word it wouldn't phase me (though they aren't allowed too :P) or shock me cause I'm sure they heard it from me.)

Then with a confuzzled look on her face, goes "How many "S" words are there?".....I said I can only think of one....she goes "Yeah me too" lol I don't know why I thought that was so funny but I did....I guess it was just the look on her face, or that she was trying really hard to think of all the bad words she could and what they started with, but I just sit in amusement at her.....


The following pictures are when she called her brother back to call him a turd because he hung up on her!

I'm such a good Mom, I told her too! And I had to explain what a Turd was!!! lol



This by the way is the crown she's been wearing since last Easter when we went on Vacation, she wore it the whole week....and wears it constantly.....I'll have to catch a pic of her at her peak....when she has the tinkerbell wings on as well...hence where we get Princess Pixietude.....and you can guess the Tude comes in from her attitude!

Amazing Blog

There is the most Amazing Blog out there . It was recently shared with me and now I MUST share it with others!!!! It's wonderful! Not only is she funny, takes awesome pictures, writes amazingly, I am so totally hooked on her love story it's not funny, Black Heels and Tractor Wheels is totally addicting!!!! You must read this!!! MUST, MUST, MUST....and I haven't tried her recipes yet, but I hear they are Wonderful!!!!

Back Upon The Horse

That's where I need to be in my blogging! I have been so lax since the school year started, but it's been on catastrophe after another to be honest, and my life has been on a roller coaster ride. As soon as I feel it's starting to settle back down, then something else happens. It's nuts! I will have to update you all on all the happens, but right now my husband is staring at me waiting for me to fix my hair so we can go get dinner. So as of right now I'm pledging that I will at least make 1 post a week on my blog until my life settles!
