My New Newphew!!

Rylan Dean Taylor was born on November 2nd....he weighed in at a whopping 8lbs and 11oz and was 19 3/4 inches long, he was born at 4:05pm....Mommy and baby are doing great!!!! Here are some pics!!!!!

Life with Licorice

Ever since Chasity was around 2 she has always said she wanted a black lab and wanted to name him Licorice.....it's never changed and never waivered!!! And Finally she has her puppy!!!! Daddy finally caved and we have the happiest little girl ever!!!

I need to update!!

Sorry guys, things have been just hella busy lately and nutty....but I am planning on sitting down tomorrow or Tuesday night and making a big update, and posting a bunch of new pictures!!!

Can you imagine one day I will have a ton of free time, when my kids grow up, when I retire!! I don't even want to bare the thought!!! My life is madness but I really do love it!!!!

4 Years Today!!!!!!

My Baby is turning 4 today!!! It doesn't even seem possible to me that it's been 4 years. He is such a blessing to me! I honestly didn't know how I was going to do it when I got pregnant with Aaron. I cried and cried because I didn't know how we would handle a third child. BUT apparently God knew we could and knew that it was meant to be. He's gotten so big in the last few months. He's learned to spell his name, he can count to 20, his vocabulary and the conversations he has now are just amazing. He is so easy to reason with and he comprehends a lot more than I remember the girls did at that age.



We had his birthday party yesterday at Puzzles FunDome, and he had so much fun and loved it! Aaron is obsessed with Tractors, actually Aaron is obsessed with lots of things, anything with wheels, animals, balls or sports, it's so funny, in the last 6 months his room has just exploded to look like a little boys room!!! But anyway he choose the John Deere theme for his party. Cause a tractor is not a tractor unless it's John Deere!



The kids had a blast and the adults had fun too, we ordered pizza and breadsticks and drinks for everyone and then we did presents and the cake!!!!!










Aaron got so many presents, my living room was filled yesterday evening!!!! Thankfully Chasity loves to un box things and she did the majority of the un boxing for Aaron!!! I'll try to remember to recite everything he got!

We got him his Spiderman bike he got on Monday, a Imaginext Pirate Ship, A HUGE dump truck, Lincoln Logs, The ESPN Fisher price Better Batter set, I got him monster tractors, He got a Tonka tow truck he's been wanting, we also got a bunch of little stuff, construction worker people, 3 little motorcycles that he can play with, small hot wheel size tractors and farm equipment, littlest pet shop go fish cards, a new tool set that included his tape measure he'd been wanting! My parents got him some movies and the Imaginext Jungle. My in-laws, my grandparents, my uncle all gave him money. My BIL and SIL gave him a #12 Louisville Cardinals Brian Brohm football jersey he is in love with. My Aunt and Uncle got him some Huge Color wonder coloring posters and a rocket for outside, his friend Adam got him 2 outfits and the Imaginext Dinosaur.











Then we sang Happy Birthday and cut his cake!!!!!! It was so so good!!!!!






And then let the playing begin!!!!! Puzzles is awesome, they have the game room, the have those huge blow up slides, and bouncers, they have a miniture golf course, they are building one of those tube tunnel things like they have at Mickey D's and Chuck E Cheese, they have hoops, a movie theater, an art room. They have a ton of stuff for the kids to do!















I ran to the grocery store last night later after we got home and I left the kids home, Aaron told me to find him some stuff for his jungle but don't spend all his birthday money! lol So I called him from Walmart....he wanted another dinosaur and he wanted the lion family for his jungle! lol He's so cute! He has honestly played with all his toys every minute since he got home last night, til he went to bed at midnight and he's back at it again this morning. I guess he had a good birthday yesterday! Even though today is his real birthday! We are taking them to Kentucky Kingdom today for my Company Picnic, they've rented out that park for the day and are providing food and drinks. We are getting ready to get ready to go!

Things will get Better, Right?

My life has been so nutty the last couple weeks, we have still just been exceptionally busy!!

Last weekend was my dad's family reunion at their house, so I spent all three days, or well the majority of them at my parents house with all my dad's cousins and my 2nd cousins and their children. It was really nice getting to see some of them again, we hadn't seen some in about 7 years. Plus I think it was really nice for my grandpa, they were his sisters children and him and one of his sisters, who couldn't come because she has Alzheimer's and lives in Illinois are the only ones still living.



My kids had stayed out there all weekend, even when we left, because all the girls...and I mean there were only girls! The only boys are like 19 and 15 and they didn't stay my moms, but there were good lord, a ton of girls, Melissa, Meghan, Mariah, Brienne, Chasity, Genna, and Angel and of course Aaron who was eating up the fact that he was the only boy and wanted to marry Melissa, until Melissa told him they were cousins and that they couldn't get married but he could be her body guard!!!




I'm really sad I forgot my camera but the cousins took tons of pictures and I'm sure I'll get some of them! Since they brought a disk with pictures on it from when they were little and their children were little! I even have some pics of my dad now when he was a child. My grandma has only had 1 since I can remember, she doesn't know what happened to the others.


Monday when we brought the kids home, we went ahead and let Aaron have his bike for his birthday because we wanted to take the kids up to the church to ride, Brie's outgrown her bike though and needs a new one and Chasity's tire was flat and we have to replace it, so well they scootered and Aaron rode!!!

And today is Aaron's 4th birthday party, tomorrow is his birthday! I can't believe my baby is 4, it seems like just yesterday I was having him. I can't explain it, but my love with Aaron is different than the girls, I love them all just as much, but well like I said I can't explain it!



I'll make sure to get on tonight and post pictures from his party today!!! Because we have another busy day tomorrow, my company picnic is at Kentucky Kingdom tomorrow, JHSMH rented out the whole park, so that should be fun!

Back In The Rat Race!!!

Well it feels like forever since I wrote here!!! School's back in and I've been running non-stop it seems like! Well until Friday night! The girls went to my parents for the weekend, and Aaron came home! lol He's been Papaw's buddy last week because my dad has a stress fracture in his foot and he was a boot on his foot and can't drive so he's asked for Aaron's company during the week! So Aaron came back Friday and the girls left.

Saturday we had a really nice day! I slept in cause I wasn't feeling really well and then me and Aaron cleaned the house and went to the grocery!

We went to dinner that evening with James parents and Aaron. Let me just say I love LOVE Kingfish on the river...it's so nice! This pic doesn't do it justice because it's on the river and has such a nice atmosphere!



We had a great dinner and then went out on the deck to enjoy the view of Louisville, for those not familiar with the restaurant it's in Indiana and has an awesome view of the Louisville skyline, at night it's really impressive! These pictures do not do it any justice at all, they've been redoing the whole waterfront so it's beautiful now, and all the lights from the boards and everything at night in person is just so awesome!!!!




Then we went downstairs where they have their outdoor bar with a live band....Aaron loved it and I caught him tapping his foot with the band, he wouldn't take their eyes off of him! He left with my inlaws so mean and James ended up driving around downtown, with the windows down, it was such a nice night, the temps have gotten a little better at night here!

We had a good time just listening to the radio and driving, really in the last year I think I've discovered how beautiful our city really is, some of the neat architecture in the downtown area, I've always been a fan of the Historic Old Louisville too, I would love to own one of those red bricks with the hunter green front door and shutters, so pretty! I think that's partly why I'm a fan of the houses in the highlands too they are just beautiful! Me and James drove through Thursday night after we left the fair alone and then went parking in Seneca park! lol Going parking sorta makes you feel young again! lol

Saturday night we drove through the old neighborhood too...in South Louisville...were we met, were we use to hang out and party. I had some of the best times there, and I probably shouldn't have! lol I miss it some days...well not all the partying, but hanging out with everyone. We use to go to the VFW post on Saturday nights when we didn't have a kids, we started after we had Aaron...and meet up with our old crowd, but they've changed it now, it hasn't been the same the last two years almost! I loved that place! We drove past Saturday night and didn't even recognize half the people out there! I think alot of people quit going there.

We ended the night just coming home instead of going to the movies, we were ready for a few drinks! And some of our friends stopped by and we all just hung out for a while..we had a really good night!

Today has been pretty lazy though I've been doing some laundry and we fixed dinner but that's about it! We've been playing with Aaron most of the day! I think I'm gonna do about two more loads and I'm done for the night! I even read a book today!

I think I'll do some maintenance on BOL tonight and then go to bed early if Aaron will cooperate!

I'll try to write more this week, I know once I get back into my routine with them and school that it will get better, well until basketball season starts and the girls start cheering! But til then I'll try to be good!

The Kentucky State Fair!!

Today we decided to venture to the Ky State Fair with James parents , My BIL and SIL, and my niece. It was sure hot!!! But I love the fair! There is just nothing like it, I mean it's really a lot of nothing but it's just it's the fair!

First when we got there we had to go see Farmer Freddie!!!!!




Then we went to see the animals! One of my favorite parts is going to see the cows and all their names! I love these cows at fair time!



And of course the kids had to pet goats



And Rabbits



And chickens and ducks, a llama, pigs, I love the animals!

Then we took the kids to ride some rides and a few games.....James won Brienne a stuffed penguin, and All the kids won small stuffed things....I myself indulged in two pineapple daiquiris that were quite yummy!!










And how could I forget the food!!!!!! I love fair food!!!!! Mmmmmmm.....the smell of corn dogs, pork sandwiches, cotton candy, Carmel apples, Grater Tater, Funnel Cakes, Bratwurst, you name it, they have it and I love it!

I was very very good this year....all I had was 2 small bites of James pork sandwich, 2 bites of Chas' corndog, and two pineapple daiquiris....that's it.... I came home and ate a cup of potato soup and had a sm grilled chicken salad. And it was so hot today I guess I wasn't really feeling it...so that means I've done well on my diet today!









As we were headed back toward the air conditioning, I happened upon a little pond! Normally I probably wouldn't have paid it much mind...but honestly it reminded me of Hannah...so I decided to stop and take a few minutes and enjoy the pond with the kids! Aaron was in the middle of a meltdown though (and refused his picture) so we trudged on into the air conditioning...which as soon as we hit it I heard Dancing Queen playing for a group that was performing and thought well Hannah really is all around! If you haven't had the chance to meet Hannah... Please enjoy a Hannah story she is an amazing little girl and her wonderful Mama who will share her with you!






When we got inside we went and stood in line for this HUGE blowup slide and obstacle course that the kids just HAD to stand in line 30 minutes to go through! It was sponsored by the Ky National Guard and they took our picture before the kids went up! Which should be online in 24 hours (I'll show it to you later), after that we stopped at this awesome balloon display and then we met the Looney Tunes Characters, Chasity had to had to see Tweety because he is her favorite and Aaron had to high five them all!

The kids also go to get into a real cop car in the back and front seats, Aaron thought that was awesome and then they had a cute little kids cop car that Aaron loved too.












It was a really good day! Though toward the end Aaron and me were both very cranky and I was getting impatient (patience is not my virtue) and I was being a big butt and I had that, I really do I hate it when I let my irritability show through to the kids, hate it and it makes me feel crummy! I've been doing a lot of work on me lately...and I've had to cut myself a tiny bit of slack...I don't do it on purpose I don't want to be like that, but I guess that's how my personality is...doesn't mean I'm not working on changing it, I just need to keep trying.





I guess I've just been thinking and doing a lot of self evaluating lately and I don't like some things and I'm changing them....

Now that we have all gotten home and everyone is settled for the night and the only decision I have to make it curling up on the sofa with James and finish watching this football game or go ahead and get in bed and read a bit...I think that the kids will remember how much fun we had together today and all we did and probably the 10 minutes I was super cranky they will forget!

All in all it was a good weekend!
