The other day while running my fever, I did snap a few pics, I was heading to my back door to check on Aaron because James came in to go to the restroom, when I got to my back door, the little turd was starting to climb on the playhouse, which he knows he's not suppose to do...
He's lucky he got down before I said anything.... and then snapped a few pics cause he just looked so darn cute wearing James' hard hat!

I found this shirt for my husband the other day, and the second I saw it, I had to buy it for him. It's just him. This is his favorite time of the year, and well mine too, but he can't even stand to be working, he has to be near the ponies! The majority of places in Louisville you don't have to work on Friday because it's Oaks! It's like Christmas Eve to all the non-Louisvillians!
Everything starts off with Thunder....that was a few weeks back, you guys saw the pictures
Then there is the great Balloon Race, which includes several things, the Rush-Hour race, the Balloon Glow....
There is the mini-marathon
The Great Bed Race!
Then the Great Steamboat Race, where we always fight with the Delta Queen and occasionally another contender for the Golden Antlers on Wednesday
Then the Pegasus Parade on Thursday
And then on Friday.....The Kentucky Oaks!!!!!!!!
Last but certainly not least, the Running of the Kentucky Derby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The most exciting 2 minutes of the year!!!!!
It's amazing all the prep, excitement, festivities that go on for weeks before the Derby, and the actual race is only 2 minutes long! And honestly I've only touched on a few of the activities!
Gosh, it feels like FOREVER!!! I have had one of the worst bouts of sickness in as far back as I could remember! After begging my husband yesterday to just let me die, and thinking my head was never ever going to clear, finally I am feeling better. I actually went outside for a little bit today with my boys!!
Awwww man I'm gonna be in trouble when he tries to start bringin girls home....look at that grin!
I think this is James new touchdown dance! hehe....I'm sure he'd love me if he knew I was posting this picture! He was playing catch with one of the kids next door!
And then Tut-tut it feels like rain....tut tut it feels like rain......remember Christopher Robin in the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, when he took out his umbrella and made that statement? Actually I think he said It looks like rain, but heck we were getting sprinkles already! So that was the end of our fun for the afternoon.
Or well 9 years since we got married , well it was yesterday our anniversary is April 24th, but I am sick and was incapacitated yesterday.....and we've been together 4015 days as well....we have the same anniversary of when we started going out as when we got married, some how it just worked out that way.
Honestly that day I made the best decision I ever made in my life......because I could never imagine living my life without James........even though there are days he drives me up a wall, honestly I found this saying not too long ago and it just perfectly describes it!
There is one thing I've had a very hard time getting use to over the years, is that James is not very vocal...and for people who know him, they say no shit sherlock! But I am! So I have a really hard time with that....though I've learned over the years that that doesn't mean he doesn't care.....it just means he doesn't express his feelings or anything through speaking....so I've just learned to wait for the ways he does express it. Like the other night when I was so sick, I was running a fever and having chills and honestly I was being a big wimp and crying cause I felt so awful...he didn't say "Baby I'm sorry your feeling bad" or " Let me fluff your pillows", he just put his hand on my forehead and rubbed it til I fell asleep. And at that moment even though I felt like death warmed over, I fell in love with him all over again. Those are the moments that get me through all the other times he can't open his damn mouth! lol
The kids and I just love it that the weather has been so warm!!!! It's time for us to come out of hibernation!!

Anyhoo......as I said the other day catching times like these make me happy...so I hid around the corner of the house catching the footage while they had not a clue that I was seeing them actually getting along and having a good time together....about what I have no clue....but that's okay!
Then the jig was up...I got caught, as I usually do....they noticed that I was taking their pictures..And oh my goodness, Brie might kill me cause I just noticed a little crack in that picture!! I'm leaving it for posterity's sake!!
Poor Chasity, had been sick all week.....she was feeling a little better so I figured sitting on the porch and getting some fresh air while it was nice outside might be a good thing....
Then they just started hamming it up for the camera....Brienne was trying to convince Chasity that she should dance with her!! It lasted about 5 minutes!
